general overview including:

  • Structure of CBD, Working Groups, SBSTTA, WGRI   
  • Procedures & layers of COP meetings (Plenary/ WG/ Contact Groups/ FoCh/ … when to input and how)
  • Convergence/Coordination between the CBD and other bodies (IPBES for e.)
  • The place of biodiversity in future multilateral goals, such as ‘SDGs’;
  • Particulars to this COP

Presentation of Key Civil Society Issues – part I (topics 1-5)

  1. Article 8(j) and related provisions (8 mins)

  4. Terrestrial and Marine Biodiversity & Protected Areas (12 mins)
  5. Biomass for Bioenergy, Biofuels and the Bioeconomy (with Synbio) (12 mins)
